Who we are
Turtle Grass LLC is an independent insurance practice led by Alasdair Roe, a licensed insurance professional. We work with people shopping for Medicare coverage and with individuals and families buying their own Marketplace plans.
Alasdair Roe has spent more than twenty years across the insurance and healthcare industries, in roles focused on making coverage work economically and consistently for the people relying on it. That background shapes how we work: less selling, more explaining, and a strong preference for solutions that still make sense a year after you’ve signed up for them.
We’re independent. That means our job is to help you find the plan that fits your doctors, your prescriptions and your budget — not to move you toward a particular product.
Most of what we do is unglamorous and useful: reading the fine print, checking whether your doctor is in network, working out which enrollment window applies to you, and telling you plainly when the coverage you already have is the right answer.
How we work
- We explain before we recommend. You should be able to say back what a plan does before anyone asks you to choose it.
- We start with your doctors and your prescriptions. Those two lists rule most options in or out faster than anything else.
- We’ll tell you to stay put if that’s the right call. A conversation that ends in no change is still a useful conversation.
